Dylan O’brien became the fans’ popular choice to play the lead in the film Funny Story.
The Teen Wolf alum has finally commented on casting rumours and the uproar amongst the fans.
On November 4th, in an episode of Silence On Set podcast the actor shared, “I’ve had friends who’ve turned me on to Emily Henry’s books, and I know a lot of them are now just beginning to get brought to the screen.”
He continued to share that he is not opposed to the idea of him being casted to play the fictional character Miles.
“I’ve always wanted to do a rom-com but I have no emails, unless I’ve missed one.”
The Maze Runner actor confirmed that he has not been selected for the role as of now.
Ever since the announcement of Emily Henry’s film adaptation of her book Funny Story, fans of the author have eagerly debated casting choices for the leads, Miles and Daphne.
Dylan’s name has been frequently suggested by fans who are eager to see him portray their favourite fictional character.
Emily’s novels are being brought to life from pages to screens, with five of her books expected to be adapted into movies.
Teaming up with Lyrical Media and Ryder Picture Company, the author first shared the book would be getting the movie treatment in July 2024.
